Investigate first
The wrong charge often starts with an incomplete understanding of what happened.
When a complaint arrives, employers can feel pressure to act immediately. But serious workplace allegations are easier to manage when the employer first establishes the relevant facts, the people involved, the documents that exist and what evidence can actually be corroborated.
AXIOM conducts structured workplace investigations designed to give decision-makers a reliable factual record. The investigation is not a substitute for a disciplinary hearing. It helps the employer determine whether there is a sufficient basis for a disciplinary, grievance, incapacity, performance or other workplace process.
Investigations may involve:
- Dishonesty, fraud indicators or misuse of company resources.
- Harassment, bullying and inappropriate workplace conduct.
- Insubordination, refusal of instructions or serious conflict.
- Grievances involving managers, teams or competing versions.
- Absenteeism, timekeeping, attendance or leave irregularities.
- Policy breaches, conflicts of interest and other sensitive allegations.
